Lesson – 30

People With Goals Succeed

Without goals there is no is no achievement.

A set definitive objective must be established if you are to accomplish anything in a big way.

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this –   Decide what you want.  The world will turn aside and let you pass if you know where you are going.

Goals give you a starting place and a destination. Determine what you want.  Decide on your major objections, targets, and destination.

You can plant your own dream, with a goal.

Lesson – 29

Mountains Are Climbed One Step At A Time

Everyone who got where they are had to begin where they were. Your opportunity for success is right in front of you.

To attain success or to reach your goal, don’t worry about having all the answers in advance. You just need to have a clear idea of your goal and move toward it.

Don’t procrastinate when faced with a difficult problem. Break your problems into parts and handle one part at a time.

Develop a tendency toward action. You can make something happen today. Break your big plan for success into small steps and take the first step right away.

Success starts with a first step.

Lesson – 28

Don’t Believe In Miracles, Depend On Them

You don’t need an explanation for everything.

Recognize that there are such things as miracles, events for which there are no explanations. Later, knowledge may explain those events away.

The fact that you plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s, smile at someone and receive a smile in return are common miracles.

Your duty to yourself is to believe that for which you have sufficient evidence, and to suspend your judgment when you do not have evidence..

Some things have to be believed to be seen.

Vision is the art of seeing invisible things.

Lesson – 27

Success Is Closer Than You Think

Every situation, properly perceived, becomes an opportunity. But you have to act on them if you’re going to be successful.

Distant pastures always look greener than those close at hand, but real opportunities are right where you are.

You must simply take advantage of them when they appear. You can start where you are at any time.

Success is all around you. It’s not in your environment, it’s not in luck or chance, or in the help of others.

Success is in yourself alone.

You don’t need more strength or more ability or greater opportunity. What you need is to use what you have.

Learn to seize good fortune, for it is always around you.

You must go to success, it doesn’t come to you.

Open your own doors to opportunity.

Lesson – 26

Quality Of Life Begins In Your Mind

It’s not what you have, but what you enjoy that constitutes your abundance.  Your real riches are riches in your head and heart.

Wealth without enjoyment is little consolation.  True satisfaction comes from appreciating what you have.

There are two ways of being happy:  you must either diminish your wants or augment your means.  It’s always better to appreciate things you cannot have than to have the things you cannot appreciate.

Your riches will always lie within you, not in your material possessions.

Lesson – 25

In The Middle Of Difficulty Lies Opportunity

You can not have success without dealing with problems.

Look for your opportunity in every difficulty instead of being paralyzed at the thought of difficulty in every opportunity.

Each new experience brings with it the seed of your success. Even your current difficulties have within them opportunity.

Welcome your problems as opportunities. Each moment is your greatest challenge and the best thing that ever happened to you.

The more difficult is your problem, the greater the challenge
lies in working it out.

When it’s dark enough, you can see the stars.

Lesson – 24

The Courage To Begin

The courage to begin separates dreamers from achievers.

Your difficulty and the difficulty of everyone who ever desires to achieve anything worthwhile comes in the movement.

Don’t always be intending to live a new life but never find a time to begin living it.

Most people fail because they never get started.  They don’t go they don’t overcome inertia, they don’t begin.

Begin to free yourself at once by doing all that is possible with the means you have.

As you proceed in this spirit, the way will open for you to do more.  The worst you can do is not to try.

Lesson – 23

Before You Get You Have To Give

When you give to others you’ll find yourself blessed.

The more you sow, the more you reap.

It’s a universal law: You have to give before you get.

You must plant your seeds before you reap the harvest.

The law works to give you back more than you have sown.

He who obtains has little. He who scatters has much.

Nature does not give to those who will not spend.

You only get to keep what you give away.

Lesson – 22

When You Stop Dreaming You Stop Living

If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and yourself.

Hold the image of yourself as you long to be, the image of what you long to obtain, the image of health, efficiency and success.

You can lift yourself by your thoughts.  Your vision will allow you surmount the highest obstacles. High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

What you see is what you get.

You will become as small as your controlling desire or as great as your dominant aspiration.  The courage to follow your dreams is your first step towards destiny.

You can live your dreams.

Lesson – 21

You Do Not Exist For Yourself

Your success depends on the support of other people.

The only hurdle between you and what you want to be, is the support of others.

Put yourself in another’s place, and you’ll know why they think and do certain things.  You can succeed fastest by helping others to succeed.

Always think in terms of what the other person wants.

You’ll get everything in life that you want if you’ll help enough other people get what they want.  Doing things for others always pays dividends.

Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows.

You’re not an isolated island. You’re a piece of the planet, a piece of the universe.

When you help someone’s boat across a river, you’ll find your own boat  has reached the shore too.

Lesson – 20

Make Change a Positive Part of Your Life

You must avoid breaking when things don’t go your way.

You’ll always be secure to the degree that you accept change.

True security comes from being able to bend your insecurities.

Recognize and accept that change will inevitably take place.  You’ll become secure, not by standing still, but by growing, moving, and staying energized.

Be secure in the knowledge that you can deal with anything that happens to you.

Have the courage to bet on your ideas.

Take some calculated risks and act on your dreams.

There is no permanent security on this earth, there is only opportunity.

Lesson – 19

Stay in the Game if you Want to Win

The law of averages is on your side. The more you try, the greater your chance of succeeding.

Taking a risk is often your first necessary step toward success. If you don’t take some risks, you won’t get the chance to succeed.

While you are trying, you are winning. Never get discouraged. Every wrong attempt is another step forward.
People that make no mistakes usually don’t make anything.

Make up your mind not merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand defeats.
Your mistakes are stepping stones to success and your installment payments to victory.

You can’t be a winner and be afraid to lose.

Lesson – 18

The Highway to Success is a Toll Road

Visualize all the things that you want in life.   Then make your mental blue print, and begin to build.

Success cannot be coaxed or bribed. It’s the offspring of drudgery and perseverance. Pay the price for success and it’s yours.

This world is run with far too tight a rein for luck to interfere. Fortune sells her wares, she never gives them. In one form or other, you pay for her favors or you go away empty.

Everything you want in life has a price connected to it. There’s a price to pay if you want to make things bett er, a price to pay for just leaving things as they are, a price for everything.

Nature cannot be tricked or cheated. She’ll give up to you the object of your struggles only after you have paid her price.

There is no victory at bargain basement prices.

Lesson-17

Everyone has a chance for Success

People often handle life as they do bad weather.  They while away the time waiting for it to stop.  Yet the tide of opportunity comes to everyone.

Opportunity knocks all the time, but you’ve got to be ready for it.  When your chance comes, you must have the equipment to take advantage of it.

The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, for time and chance happen to everyone.  Take a second look at what appears to be someone’s “good luck.”  You’ll find not luck but preparation, planning and success-producing thinking.

When you’re prepared for opportunity your chance for success is sure to come.  The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success.

Decide that this year will be your year for success and prepare for it to happen.

Lesson 16

Maximum Success is Achieved in Steps

All progress begins one step at a time.

There is no sudden lead to greatness. Good work, done little by little becomes great work. The house of success is built brick by brick.

You can do what you want to do, achieve what you want to achieve, attain any reasonable objective you may have in mind.

Not all of a sudden, nor in one sweeping act of achievement. You will do it gradually, day by day and play by play.

If you want to do it, if you work to do it, you will accomplish your goal over a sufficient period of time.

Your big accomplishments will be a series of little accomplishments.

It takes many strokes to overthrow the tallest oak.

Lesson-15

All Great Achievements take time

Every big accomplishment is a series of little accomplishments.  To achieve maximum success you must accept that progress  is made one step at a time.

A building is built one brick at a time.  Football games are won one play at a time.  A business grows bigger one customer at a time.  You walk over the highest mountain one step at a time.

Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.

Nothing great is created suddenly, any more than a bunch of grapes or an apple miraculously appears.  If you want to grow an apple, you must give it time.  There must be time for it to blossom, bear fruit and then ripen.

That which grows fast, withers as rapidly.  That which grows slowly, endures.

Lesson-14

A Good System Shortens the Road to a Goal

Your success will be determined on the drawing board. All you need is a plan, a road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.

Somewhere there is a map of how it can be done, for at all times, it’s better to have a method.

Planning will bring your future into the present so you can do something about it now. Find a good system and it will shorten the road to your goal.

Divide your movements into easy to do sections. If you falter or fail, divide your movements again.

You can’t get lost on a straight road.

Lesson 13

Nothing is Impossible to a willing Heart

You can do anything in this world you want to do, but you must want to do it badly enough.

You really can have everything you want, if you go after it.  You have to want it.

The first ingredient of success is desire.  Do you know what you want? Your desire is the planting of your seed.

Your desire for success must be so strong within you that it’s the very breath of your life.  It must be your first thought when you wake in the morning, and your last thought when you go to bed at night.

You can be whatever you make up your mind to be.  What’s in your mind is all that counts.

Lesson 12

You’re More Important than your Problems

Courage is the power to face your difficulties.  It comes from the reserves of your mind that are more powerful than your outside circumstances.

When you recognize that you’re bigger than your problems, you’ll gain the courage necessary to overcome anything.

Your obstacles will look large or small to you according to whether you are large or small.

Courage is the capacity to confront what can be imagined.  It gives you the ability to rise above your present reality.

Lesson 11

You Determine your Attitude

Your attitude is not determined by circumstances, but by how you respond to your circumstances.  You can respond positively or negatively to any situation.

It’s how you react to events,  not the events themselves, that determines your attitude.

 Lesson 10

Success is a Choice you Make

Success or failure?  It’s always your choice.  You alone have the responsibility to shape your life.

Once you understand this, nothing and no one can deny you success.  There’s really no one to stop you but yourself.

More powerful than all the success slogans ever written is the realization that everyone has but one boss.  That boss is you.

Your life will always be to a large extent what you make of it.  No one can cheat you out of ultimate success but you.

If you want to be successful, you can be successful.

Lesson 9

Always Think In Terms Of What The Other Person Wants

Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows.

Your success depends on the support of other people.  You can get anything you want in life if you’re willing to help enough other people get what they want.

The only hurdle between you and what you want to be is the support of others.

You cannot hold a torch to light another’s path without brightening your own.

 Lesson 8

Follow Those Dreams

If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and yourself.

Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, your ideal of what you long to attain, the ideal of health, efficiency, fun and success.

You can lift yourself by your thoughts.  Your vision will help you climb mountains.

High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

You’ll become as small as your controlling desire, or as great as your dominant aspiration. The courage to follow your dreams is your first step toward destiny.

When you cease to dream, you cease to live.

Lesson 7

SEE THINGS AS YOU WANT THEM TO BE

How can you make your dream come true, if you don’t have one?

Visualize your goals and your subconscious will begin to work toward making your mental pictures come true.

You’ll gradually grow into any condition you desire, provided you adjust your mental attitude to mirror the person who corresponds to those conditions.

If you advance with confidence in the direction of your dreams, and begin to live the life you imagine, you’ll meet with success beyond your wildest imagination.

The only way to discover your limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.

You’re the one who can stretch your horizon.

Lesson 6

YOU ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR PROBLEMS

Courage is the power to face your difficulties.  It comes from the reserves of your mind that are more powerful than your outside circumstances.

When you recognize that you’re bigger than your problems, you’ll gain the courage necessary to overcome anything.

Your obstacles will look large or small to you according to whether you are large or small.

Courage is the capacity to confront what can be imagined.  It gives you the ability to rise above your present reality.

Lesson 5

EVERYTHING HAS A PRICE

There is no easy road to success.  You’ve got to work a great deal harder than most people to get it.

Nothing worthwhile will come easily to you.  Hard work will accomplish results that last.

No one has a corner on success.  Pay the price for it and it’s yours.  No matter what you want from life you’ve got to give up something to get it.

There is no success at bargain basement prices.  You’ll find that the highway to success is a toll road.

Lesson-4

REMAIN IN THE GAME IF YOU WANT TO WIN

The more you try, the greater your chance of succeeding.
The law of averages is on your side.

Lesson-3

OPEN YOUR OWN DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY

Success doesn’t come to you. You must go to it. You don’t need more strength or more ability or greater opportunity.

What you need is to use what you have.

The golden opportunity you’re seeking is in yourself. It’s not in your environment. It’s not in luck or chance or in the help of others.

It’s in you.

There will always be a new opportunity where there is an open mind and a willing hand.

You must make your own opportunities.

Lesson-2

IF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO MAKE IT,
YOU WILL

Success is a road paved with perseverance.  The odds are with you if you keep trying.

There is no failure except in not trying.  You cannot be beaten at anything, until you quit in your own mind.  There is no defeat except from within.

You have no really insurmountable barrier except your own inherent weakness of purpose.

Consider yourself on a very long journey.  Sustain your personal vision of success.  In the end, you can only fail if you do not try.

Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to is.

Lesson 1

The Seed To Your Success Is In Your Imagination

Visualize all the things that you want in life.   Then make your mental blue print, and begin to build.

Your imagination can show you how to turn your possibilities into reality.

You must make every thought, every fact, that comes into your mind pay you a profit.  Make those mental images work and produce for you.  Think of things not as they are but as you want them to be.

Don’t just dream, be creative.

The will to succeed springs from the knowledge that you can succeed.
